Volcanoes, an intriguing Black Sand Beach, endless valleys, Polulü Valley is one of the best lookout points in Hawaii. One of the best places to be in Hawaii, Polulü Valley is home to the now extinct Kohala Volcano. A stunning beauty on its own, it is joined by gorgeous verdant sea cliffs and also an interesting beach.


From this lookout point, you are sure to see a row of black before you. Belonging to the unique Black Sand Beach, it is one of the few black sand beaches in the world! With interesting sand, the waves here know no mercy. Crashing fiercely against the rocks and the shore, do be warned that swimming here is strongly discouraged. A truly interesting sight before you, the Polulü Valley lookout point provides the best view of the beach here, safe from the crashing waves. Do not be afraid to take a seat on the rocks at the lookout. After the hike up to the lookout point, you are definitely eager to take a break. Take in the cooling breeze that carries the smell of the salty sea along with it. As you sit back and relax, you will thank the Gods that this place has remained untouched for centuries.

Tips Before You Go
Making your way here by car is rather tricky due to limited and narrow parking spaces. So do come early to get a parking spot or perhaps park along the streets and start your walk here.
