Island of Maui, United States of America
Pipiwai Trail, Haleakala National Park

Feel totally zen on this trail.

Snugly located in Haleakalā National Park in Hawaii, the Pipiwai trail is an easy one, with people of all age and sizes attempting this with ease. Leading to the famous 200 feet Makahiku Falls and 400 feet Waimoku Falls, embark on the 1.8 metre trail amongst a lush tropical rainforest. At any point of time during the trail, stop and have a look at the water rushing down the cliffs in absolute splendour.

As you continue on, you will emerge and be greeted by the peaceful bamboo forest. Made accessible to all, there is a pathway carved out in the middle of the forest. As you walk, you will be well sheltered by the bamboo as they soar up to the sky, coming together as if forming a roof. Do also look out for the massive Banyan tree! A sturdy tree that is great for climbing, this is also a great spot for photographers to capture some interesting shots.
