Petani Beach

Crystal blue water that runs deep right from the shore, green mountains and an incredible sunset; Petani Beach is where you need to be.

Just 13 kilometers away from the Greek town of Lixouri is the Petani Beach, known for its big waves, white sand and pebbles, blue crystal waters, and curved bay. Like many of the other stunning beaches in Kefalonia, this one’s also burrowed at the base of a mountain with long, winding roads. But guess what? It’s going to be worth the travel! Not only are there umbrellas neatly arranged in the main area of the seaside if you need a break from getting sun kissed, there is also a smaller, less trodden beach to the south of the bay where you can lounge in solitude, listening to the crash of the waves hitting the rocks.

As you bask in all that sunshine, breathe in the salty air and immerse yourself in the glory of the sparkling blue sea, don’t forget to witness the magnificent sunset – it really is the icing on the cake.
