Pennsylvania Station

Witness one of the busiest rail hubs in the world where more than 600,000 commuters are served by 1,200 trains a day.

Located inside Pennsylvania Plaza between the 7th and 8th Avenues in Midtown Manhattan, the Pennsylvania Station, also known as New York Penn Station or Penn Station, was originally built in 1910 but was subsequently remodeled several times. This gigantic station has 21 tracks fed by seven tunnels - two Hudson River Tunnels, four East River Tunnels and the single Empire Connection tunnel.

While many mourned the demolition of the original Penn Station, luck has it that precious remnants of its architecture still exist and are visible both inside and around the current station. One must not miss the fascinating artworks found within Penn Station. Discover where the Largest Penn Remnant is (which is about as close to the original Penn Station as possible) by taking a guided tour or simply enjoy the lively vibes of this station with its plethora of eateries to dine in and people-watch.
