Pelekas Beach

A beautiful beach treasured for its clean waters and enchanting surroundings.

In a sheltered bay at the foot of steep hills lies the Pelekas Beach. Surrounded by dense, lush vegetation, the beach is renowned for its picturesque landscape. Its fine, soft sand is tinged with a dusky orange, as if it has been burnt by the sun, and its waters are so clear that you can see you own shadow cast on the seabed.

Benches sheltered by bright, cheerful umbrellas are arranged in neat rows facing the sea and can be rented by visitors. The beach organises a plethora of water sports activities for the more daring visitors among you so take the chance to pick up windsurfing or waterboarding! After you are exhausted from a day of swimming out in the open sea or falling countless of times off your board, check out the restaurants near the beach which serve delectable and authentic Corfiot food.

Tips Before You Go
Although there are benches and umbrellas at the beach, make sure to bring your own beach towel and umbrella as they are likely to all be taken. Remember to smear on plenty of sunscreen as the malicious sunrays spare no one!
