The Pavlovsk Park is one of the largest landscaped gardens in the world which surrounds the elegant 18th century Pavlovsk Palace. Originally conceived as a classical English landscape garden by the Scottish architect Charles Cameron, the design was inspired by the enchanting paintings of Claude Lorraine and Hubert Robert. Covering a massive area of 607 hectares, the highlights of the Pavlovsk Park are found around the banks of the Slavyanka River. Marvel at the amazing ruins of Cameron's Apollo Column and the awesome Temple of Friendship. Visit in the summer and have fun boating in the Vokzhalniye Ponds or come in winter and see the park coated with splendid white snow.
