Parque Gulliver

Rekindle childhood memories in one of the most loved playgrounds of Valencia.

At the heart of the Turia Gardens is a scene right out of a whimsical dream. Tied down to the ground is a man of gargantuan proportions. From head to toe, he measures 70m in length and running down his arms and legs are children dwarfed by his size. They run up and down his sides, crossing rope ladders hung across his limbs and slides found in the folds of his clothes. In the gaps between his fingers are bars to hang on and footholds to clamber on.

For those familiar with the tale of Gulliver’s travels, you might recognize this as the scene of Gulliver being washed up on the shores of Lilliput. The children roleplay Lilliputians awed by Gulliver and experience the tale for themselves at this attraction. Seeing this attraction is also likely to shake the cobwebs off memories of this fond bedtime story. So take this as a chance to introduce your little one to a fragment of your childhood so you can share the joy of this imaginative tale.

Tips Before You Go
Parque Gulliver has actually been around since 1990, only being altered once to include more safety features. You can visit it for free while at the Turia Gardens alongside other attractions such as mini-golf, skating and cycling. Here’s a photography tip: for a bird’s eye view of this out-of-this-world attraction, take the shot from Guardian Angel Bridge along the water feature ringing the playground.
