Parc de La Grange

Lovely and temperate, this park is the embodiment of a summer day.

Think of the private lawns and grounds of the wealthiest aristocrats in the 18th century, and you might just come close to the scenery of the Parc de la Grange. It is a beautifully maintained garden and the single largest green space in all of Geneva. Some would argue that it is also the most beautiful. As you wander through this little paradise, you cannot help but wonder in amazement at the abundance of tirelessly-maintained flora and fauna. Here you will find Geneva’s biggest rose garden, a series of orangeries and ancient, towering trees dotted around the landscape, among other treasures. The rose garden was even granted the Award of Garden Excellence for the painstaking care and preservation of various species of roses. Nestled deep in the park is an 18th-century villa that looks like something out of a French novel, heightening the sense of intrigue and romance. All this makes it the perfect spot for couples who wish to rekindle the embers of love, and see sparks fly in the middle of this beautiful garden.

Tips Before You Go
You can also find two theatres located in the park which offer plays and gigs from June to September, so do check your calendar and try to catch a show there! And if you can make it, August 1st is the best time to visit the park as the Swiss national day is celebrated there with great fanfare.
