A Roman Catholic cathedral in Baguio, Philippines.
Our Lady of the Atonement Cathedral, otherwise known simply as Baguio Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral situated at Cathedral Loop beside Session Road in Baguio, the Philippines and comes under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Baguio. The cathedral was dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, under the title of Our Lady of Atonement and its distinctive pink exterior, twin spires and stained glass windows make it a beautiful and popular attraction for visitors in the Philippines. It served as an evacuation centre under the Japanese Occupation when WWII was underway. During the war, the cathedral withstood the carpet-bombing of Baguio by Allied forces and the remains of the thousands that died in the bombardment are interred within the cathedral precinct. The cathedral can be reached from Session Road via 104-step stone staircase ending at a Calvary or through the adjacent campus of Saint Louis University.
