Nokonoshima Island Park

This park was established by Kubota Kosasku when he was just 19 years old!

Established by Kubota Kotaku when he was just 19 years old, the Nokonoshima Island Park is in itself an Eden just across the lively area of Fukuoka. It is popular amongst locals and tourists alike for its beautiful array of flowers through the seasons. The park also offers visitors outdoor activities including pottery making and camping. To get there, it requires a 10 minutes ferry ride from Meinohama port which is about 20 minutes from Hakata port. You may circle the island park on foot which spans about 12km in total.

Visit a playground near the bed of seasonal flowers and allow your kids to play there or the barbecue pit for a day out with the family. If you wish to spruce up your home, you may pay a regular admission fee from mid-May to late August and take home a bunch of flowers if you visit!
