Beautiful butterflies galore at this Canadian conservatory.
If you are one of those who subscribe to the belief that seeing a butterfly is good luck, then you will be absolutely thrilled at the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory. Located in Niagara Falls, Ontario, this land of the butterflies has been run by the Niagara Parks Commission since 1996, bringing joy to all visitors, young and old. The conservatory is home to more than 2000 butterflies from over 45 different species, set in the backdrop of lush greenery, and cascading waterfalls.
The best part is that you can see species from different parts of the world, as butterflies are not only grown on site, but also brought in from countries such as Costa Rica and the Philippines, given their short lifespan as adults. You can enjoy a self-guided tour and capture the beauty of these butterflies in film, whether they are fluttering about you or sipping nectar! Head over to the Emergence area to find chrysalides and to watch butterflies make their way out. So bring your family and spend some time with the bewitching butterflies at the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory.
