Naturhistorisches Museum

History has often been thought not to possess valuable lessons to learn from, however, with the millions of artefacts here, it surely serves as a reminder of things long gone and irretrievable.

30 million objects? Spanning across 250 years ago, Naturhistorisches Museum is a pioneer in this area, boasting what could possibly be the largest collection of historical artefacts in the world. With so much up his sleeve, this museum surely has lots on his plate.

Built in the 19th century, fossils, precious stones and of course dinosaurs are on display. A lifelike allosaurus accompanies the displays on this level, sure to scare any unassuming visitor. As you continue your exploration, check out the over 1000 meteorites that have proven there is life beyond us. These rocks falling from the sky, reminds us of a far greater universe. Look out for the taxidermy collection, of animals long gone or perhaps endangered, you will see how humankind and its progress has greatly impacted these precious animals. A case of how future generations will no longer see these animals in the flesh, the museum continues to expose and remind all generations to be mindful of their behaviours. An enriching experience at a museum with so much to learn about, visitors of all ages should make it a point to visit!
