Natural History Museum, Rotterdam

A collection of dried plants and around 40,000 various fossils, specimens and scientific items to boast about.

The Natural History Museums in Rotterdam, which is one of the largest museums in Netherlands featuring stuffed animals, skeletons, mammoths, butterflies, and nests of birds. Visitors can also take a look at the skeleton of the Asian elephant who lived until 1998 in the Rotterdam zoo and also get a close up view of the sperm whale skeleton. Taking a walk and inspecting fossils as old as 230 millions years can be an unforgettable experience.

Dead animals and their story, is one of the permanent exhibitions, which tells tales about dead animals and why were killed. It is certainly amusing to find out how a sparrow was killed on account of being responsible for destroying world record and weeks of hard work by knocking over 23,000 domino stones, or how a governmental mouse was assigned the task of causing political trouble, and therefore had to die.
