A shrine home to around 390,000 spirit tablets and more.

Dedicated to the fallen Kuomintang (KMT) soldiers after the Civil War in China, the National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine houses a staggering 390,000 spirit tablets! This is to honour the KMT martyrs who died in the war against the communists in China, the Xinhai Revolution and the Second Sino-Japanese War.


Popular with visitors, catch the fascinating changing of the guard at every hour from 9am to 4pm. As you stroll around and explore this huge complex and its impressive Chinese architecture, look out for the golden Jiatu (door knob) on the main shrine and leave sufficient time to relax under the charming pavilion.
