Following the blaze of the Victorian Gold Rush of 1850, the National Gallery of Victoria was established, and it is now renowned for being Australia's oldest and largest art museum. Fondly known as the NGV, the museum boasts an all-encompassing art collection spanning across two loci - NGV International on St Kilda Road, and the Ian Potter Centre at Federation Square.
