Wind down in a wind-up box.
Dainty and charming, the aptly named Music Box Theatre is one of Broadway’s more intimate venues for plays and musicals. The interior of the theatre looks like a classical colonial manor, with its 800 seats plush and wide. This is where the popular musical Chicago had its humble beginning, inspired by a play of the same name which debuted here at the Music Bo Theatre in 1926. A few big names in Hollywood such as Julianne Moore and Alan Rickman have also performed at this theatre in the past. The theatre boasts an amazing history of productions including Dear Evan Hansen, a musical that has won 6 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. If you’re looking for a classic Broadway experience, be sure to catch a musical at this iconic venue!
