Museum of the Polish Army

An epic showcase of military weapons right from the Middle Ages till contemporary times.

Dedicated to the documentation of the military history of Poland, the Museum of the Polish Army was created in 1920. Step into the forecourt of the museum and be impressed by the amazing array of aircraft and rocket launchers, missiles and armoured tanks on display. Each room you walk into might actually make you think that you were inside an armoury, seeing as all of them store a wide array of weapons from different eras. They even have them categorised based on the wars and conflicts that the weapons were featured in! History buffs might find this particularly useful, as they will be able to see the evolution in the types of weapons used in major events like the Napoleonic Wars and the Warsaw Uprising. For the rest, being able to view real-life weapons that have actually been used to take lives is fascinating enough in its own right. Maybe you could even imagine yourself wielding some of these too. Other highlights in the museum include the exhibition of weapons from the Orient such as Japan, Mongolia and Ottoman Turkey.
