Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków

A museum of good repute and highly regarded exhibits; be sure to check this place out.

A contemporary art gallery in Kraków which exhibits works of famous Polish and foreign artists, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków (MOCAK) is highly recommended for art lovers. Housing well-curated permanent and temporary exhibits, this museum spans an immense area of 10,000 square metres. Opened in 2011, visitors will no doubt be wowed by its avant garde facade and ultra modern layout.

Art lovers will be impressed by the stunning collections of artwork on display here, and the best part is that some of them are interactive as well! Krystian Lupa’s installation, known as Live Factory 2, lets visitors touch the walls and furniture, and even sit on a replica of Andy Warhol’s sofa as a recording plays in front of you. But if you’re more interested in the theoretical side of art, then a visit to the Mieczysław Porębski Library is in order. Its extensive repository of books will take you days to fully explore, but if you’re searching for some much needed solitude, then this is the place for you. Check the website for updates about the latest cutting-edge works of art on display at the ever-changing temporary exhibitions. Art lovers will definitely have a field day when they visit this museum.
