The one thing we all have in common is that we were all once children. This is what’s so special about the Museum of Childhood in Edinburgh - it is the first ever museum in the world to specialise in the history of childhood, boasting a collection of children’s toys and playthings. With the age of the items in the collection ranging from the 18th to 21st century, this was initially the labour of an Edinburgh Councillor and collector of children’s toys, Patrick Murray.

So take a trip down to the Museum of Childhood and relive what it means to be a child - memory lane can be a beautiful journey to embark on! For those with children, let them be enthralled in what it means to be a child of the past, and be fascinated by the toys and games that once captivated the hearts of the generations before them!
