Art exhibitions, dialogue sessions, critical thinking and debates – all these can be found in the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT), which is the new cultural centre in the heart of Lisbon city. Designed by the British architectural firm Amanda Levete Architects, this futuristic-looking building is connected to the famous Tejo Power Station, one of Portugal’s most visited museums today. Besides holding art exhibitions showcasing a plethora of local and international works, the compound is also well known for its roof. The roof presents a spectacular view over the city of Lisbon and the Tagus, and should not be missed.
