Filled with the old magic of history emanating from the sculptures and maintained relics of everyday Neapolitan life, from the bourgeois to the common man, on display, again at the museum’s white washed walls, accentuating the colours and forms of art that have infiltrated stone and wood, while some are disguised as basic tools. Sitting amongst revered pieces of Neapolitan culture is to feel a calmness in time past, where the impatient winds of progress cannot enter, lending much to the relaxed, hushed atmosphere within the museum. Romance lights up for the tourist enamoured of the simpler times, who could travel through the corridors of that echoes silence with such lightness in the steps, almost like a dance of gaiety without trepidation, ever sauntering forward to one exhibit newer than the previous, following a line of dance devised by the remnants of Neapolitan history choreographed so many, many years ago that by destiny, have found a common place to inhabit for the sole purpose of enthralling resonating old souls.
