Museo Hemingway Finca Vigia

The quirks of this novelist are sure to leave you with plenty of questions.

Visit the house where the famous novelist and Nobel literature prize winner – Ernest Hemingway lived, unchanged and well-protected since his death in 1961. The house is often called “Finca Vigia”, translating to mean lookout house. Hemingway resided there for most of his last years, inspired, he managed to write two novels whilst he was staying there. Upon his death, his home was eventually converted into a museum, with visitors unable to enter the house, but merely viewing it from the open windows and doors.

Located here are plenty of Hemingway’s belongings. Starting with a large collection of books, they are sprawled everywhere, in every inch of the house, even in the toilet! Continuing so, be amused by Hemingway’s interest in taxidermy where there’s an array of animal heads plastered along the walls. A man that is sure to intrigue anyone, it even houses his wide array of records, amounting to more than 900! Designed in a manner that appears as if Hemingway would return any minute, the museum has accurately captured his essence. Now that’s surely a man to take interest of. Truly a man who had plenty of surprises up his sleeve, come and visit his home where all the magic happened. Who knows? Maybe you’d might be hit by some form of magic and be the next renowned writer.
