Havana, Cuba
Museo del Ron

If rum is your jam (or even not), head down and get absolutely “drunk” on knowledge (of rum and its becoming).

Not your typical museum, Museo del Ron is all about rum, rum and rum! Established in the early 21st century, this museum housed in an ancient colonial house, aims to teach visitors about Cuba’s favourite spirit – rum. Started by Cuba’s most-loved rum brand – Havana Club, get cracking and learn all about how this delicious spirit is made. From the process of distillation, fermentation and blending, the process is simulated with fantastic detail. Look out for the barrels of rum, waiting their turn as they ready themselves to be drunk by thirsty visitors and locals alike.

As you embark on the tour around the museum, guides will introduce and explain to you how the delicious rum was born. An insightful trip, your trip here is not just about learning how it was made. After your tour ends, you are in for a treat as you get to indulge in some rum tasting! Down some of the sweet tasting, aged rum as you kick back and relax. A great way to end off your day, remember to say it like the Cubans do – salud!
