If you are interested in military history, the Museo del Ejército (Museum of the Army) will be just your cup of tea! The museum comprises of two buildings: the historical Alcázar fortress and a new purpose-built extension. The former building houses the permanent exhibition, which is divided into rooms reflecting the history of Spain's army. They contain a vast array of exhibits dating from the 19th century, including guns, swords, uniforms, and artillery, just to name a few. In the new building, there are temporary exhibition rooms, and amenities including a library, cafeteria, catering shops and stores.
