Museo de Lazaro Galdiano

Step inside the unconventional Museum of Lázaro Galdiano to see the huge collection of the man himself.

The unique Museo Lázaro Galdiano (Museum of Lázaro Galdiano) holds the art collection of art collector José Lázaro Galdiano (1862 – 1947). This four-storey mansion houses over 12,000 paintings and valuable works from the Prehistoric period to the 19th century. Highlights include the works of Goya (1746 – 1828) and Bosch (1450 – 1516), works from the Dutch and English schools, and the Renaissance metalworks. Besides the art collections, it would be interesting to note that the building, built in 1903, was the former residence of Galdiano and his wife. So, take your time to admire the beautifully painted ceilings and marble floors, and stand in awe at the magnificent building that was once Galdiano’s!
