Musée de l’Orangerie (Orangerie Museum)

This museum houses the works of famous painters in impressively-sized rooms.

The Musée de l'Orangerie (Orangerie Museum) is an art gallery that displays a wide array of paintings. It is located near the Place de la Concorde in Paris. The gallery was built in 1852, with the most iconic exhibit here being Claude Monet’s (1840 – 1926) Nymphéas, which is a series of eight paintings depicting water lilies that were donated to the French State. In fact, visitors can view the exhibit just as Monet intended, as the compositions are arranged and displayed in the particular order that he suggested.

Besides the famed paintings of the water lillies, the museum also houses works by famous painters, like Pablo Picasso (1881 – 1973), Henri Rousseau (1844 – 1910), and Maurice Utrillo (1883 – 1955), amongst others. This would certainly pose as the perfect place for art lovers to congregate to, due to its extensive collection of fine works by such esteemed artists.
