Engelberg, Switzerland
Mount Titlis

A mountain of adventure.

Blanketed by a soft layer of snow all year round, Mount Titlis towers elegantly above the rich pastures and vast valleys down below from an incredible height of 3032 metres. Visitors approach this impressive alpine word of rocks and snow via the world’s first rotating cable car, which offers stunning, 360-degree views of distant craggy mountain peaks, steep cliff faces, and deep, narrow crevasses from all around.

At the snowy summit, visitors are welcomed by an illuminated glacier cave with ice as old as 5,000 years old, kids will delight in breathing out white puffs of air clearly visible because of the frosty cold temperature. Thrill seekers will delight on Europe’s highest suspension bridge, the Titlis Cliff Walk, and enjoy fun snowy activities such as snowtubing in the winter wonderland glacier park. Hiking enthusiasts can look forward to the Stotzig Egg trail, a glacier trail that winds upwards to the incredible vantage point of Stotzig Egg, for spectacular panoramic views that stretch as far as the eye can see (even to the Bernese Oberland and mountains of Valais!), on a clear day. Visitors can also hike to Lake Trüebsee for wonderful views of the valley of Engelberg, Mount Titlis, and the surrounding scenic mountainscape.
