Mount Andong (Gunung Andong)

She’s easier than most, but she’s still beautiful.

Untouched beauteous green overgrowth in rich abundance, ripens in a spectacular flourish as it rolls down the gradually sloping of the mountain. Lush is nature’s bounty from the entrance to the zenith that can be appreciated in the company of fellow mountain pilgrims, who are united in silent camaraderie, marching onwards with a common ambition to overcome the mountain’s ascent. Fatigue is a stranger rarely met in the hike towards the top with air so sharply crisp and deciduous trees of wide leaves offer shade aplenty, and to recharge the atmosphere made too manufactured by the hiking trails is the surrounding wildlife’s invisible, elusive presence hinted only by their exchange of coded messages in language cyphers. At the top, of the mountain, though it is a sight obscured by variegated tents pitched and neon colours of backpacks hitched by the roaming hikers who once were comrades, now a slight hindrance in this piece of gentle mountainous terrain amongst the whispers of clouds, the view of unspoiled nature is stupendously glorious in the glow of the setting sun, spreading vermillion rays through the vast expanse of the sky. Up in the air where water formations have become the vapours in the cloud wisps parallel to the summit, for all the tribulations endured and the humours enjoyed on the journey to this pretty spectacle of nature’s serendipity, the grass of velvet touch, the winds blowing cool and gentle, and the view of a scorched sky smouldering is just of right amount of enough to feel contentment presently.
