Moon Hill (月亮山)

A wonderful work of nature, Moon Hill will make you feel over the moon.

Situated across the Jingbao River lies Moon Hill, with a natural arch of about 50m high. Named after a moon-shaped hole in the center of a massive rock, it is the icon of Yangshuo. Climb up the 800 marble stairs called "Appreciating Moon Path", which will lead you to the summit to get a closer view of the Moon Cave. The panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the protuberant karst hills from the half moon, or better still the summit, is well worth the trek. For rock climbing enthusiasts, Moon Hill offers 14 climbing routes and plenty of challenges for both amateur and professional climbers. Be sure to look out for the stalactite, which resembles the jade rabbit, found under the arch of Moon Hill.
