Miniatures Museum of Taiwan (袖珍博物馆)

Appreciate miniature art at this museum.

The Miniatures Museum of Taiwan prides itself as being the first museum to collect miniatures in Asia. Here, visitors will be brought around the world through the form of miniature art, with famous buildings being shrunk down to one-twelfth of its original size. See the detailed artworks of architecture in the exhibits, which includes famous European destinations, as well as other scenes from all over the world. Many other exhibitions are also on display here, with the more peculiar ones including a postage-sized functioning television and a chandelier with 40 bulbs that is only the size of a rice grain. This museum is the first to specialise in contemporary miniatures and features two formats: the doll house and room box with cut away views.

Tips Before You Go
Like most museums, this one is especially crowded on weekends. The novelty of this museum means that it attracts a lot more people as compared to conventional ones too. Try visiting on a weekday instead so that you can avoid the crowds and just take as many photos of the various exhibits to your heart’s content.
