This museum boasts an impressive collection of artworks all donated by one man.

The Mimara Museum houses the private collection of Ante Topić Mimara (1898 – 1987), a Croatian art collector. This museum houses more than 3,750 works, including sculptures, paintings, and crafts, which was acquired from the prehistoric time right up to the 20th century. The collection also includes works by Raphael, Velázquez, Goya, Degas, Rembrandt, Bosch and many more famous painters. Housed in a former Neo-Renaissance school building built in 1883, art fanatics are sure to find something interesting in the Mimara Museum.
