Millennium Park

Come down to Millennium Park to experience a new kind of city square buzzing with life.

Millennium Park is a sprawling city park and one of Chicago’s most prominent civic districts. Originally built to celebrate the third millennium, the Park was completed a little behind schedule but now houses a variety of public art, including the Bean. Considered by many to be the city’s most important project since the World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893, the many features of Millennium Park have become heavyweight tourist attractions in their own right. The main highlights are the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Cloud Gate, the Crown Fountain, and the Lurie Garden. During the winter months, you can even grab a pair of ice skates and head down to the McCormick Tribute Ice Rink for an outdoors whirl. It also has one of the largest green roofs in the world, making it a beautiful nature oasis in the heart of the busy city. With all of its dazzling attractions, there’s no wonder that Millennium Park is such a draw for locals and tourists alike.
