The Mettam's Pool is a natural rock pool located on a protected reef. The calm waters of this pool make it ideal for everyone, from kids to the elderly, and is excellent for swimming, surfing or snorkeling. This tiny beach is usually jammed packed with people during summer, and rightly so, given the nature of this pool. As the water here is very shallow, it is absolutely safe for kids to snorkel and see fishes, starfishes, and mollusks just a few steps away from the beach. However, basic water safety guidelines should still be adhered to, as there is no lifeguard on duty here. Snorkelling further out from the beach should also be done with caution. The beach is equipped with basic shower amenities, as well as stair and ramp access to the beach, making it wheelchair-friendly and convenient for all.
