Metropol Parasol
Incarnación’s Mushrooms.
Known for its distinctive, eclectic mushroom-like structure, the Metropol Parasol is a quirky attraction that’s not to be missed in La Encarnación square, within the old quarter of Seville. Inspired by the vaults of the Seville Cathedral and the ficus trees in Plaza de Cristo de Burgos, the Metropol Parasol is a brilliant modern architectural wonder, and boasts six large parasols (“Las Setas”) and four levels.
The de facto meeting spot for many locals, Metropol Parasol is also perfect for history buffs keen to visit Roman and Moorish ruins (you can do so at its underground site L0 - Aniquarium), or for individuals seeking scenic panoramas of the city from the Mirador.

Visitors will have to pay a small fee to gain access to the viewing point (the Mirador), although also get a free postcard and a 1 euro discount off your drink with the ticket, which can be claimed from the bar up top. Best time to visit would be before sunset, as you get stunning views of Seville as the sun goes down. Thereafter you can visit any of the several delicious tapas restaurants/bars in the neighbourhood. Access to the viewpoint is in the basement next to the entrance of the Antiquarium.
