A museum preserving Liverpool’s seafaring heritage on the iconic Albert Dock.

The Merseyside Maritime Museum in Liverpool is part of the National Museums Liverpool and an Anchor Point of the European Route of Industrial Heritage. The museum’s doors first opened in 1980, and it preserves Liverpool’s seafaring heritage, right in the middle of the iconic Albert Dock. Collections housed within this museum are reflective of Liverpool’s importance in the world - these collections include Liverpool’s role in transatlantic salve trade, emigration, the merchant navy and event infamous RMS Titanic.
