A perfect escape from the bustling city of Washington D.C., Meridian Hill Park sits in the middle of Adams Morgan and 14th Street. Here, visitors will be able to enjoy the amazing greenery and architecture of this park. It is home to the longest cascading fountain in North America, as well as the only female equestrian statue in the city. In total, there are four memorials and statues located within the park, including a memorial dedicated to President James Buchanan. Not only is the park listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it has also been accorded a National Historic Landmark. This 80-year-old park is designed in the style of an Italian garden and you would be hard-pressed to find a park even more beautiful. Relax and enjoy the serene park under the sun, along with the sounds of the soothing water.
