Anthropology aficionados unite! The Musée d'ethnographie de Genève, also known as the MEG, is an ethnographic museum. Founded since 1901, the museum has a wide array of objects steeped in anthropological and historical meaning. Its permanent collection known as the archives of human diversity holds over 1000 artefacts, thoughtfully chosen from a collection of over 80,000, thus ensuring that you see some of the most significant objects they have to offer. The exhibition is divided up into seven areas, namely a prologue, an area for each of the five continents, and an ethnomusicological segment. So at the MEG in Geneva, not only are you treated to an understanding of the host city itself, but the entire world as well.
