Through a series of interactive exhibitions and fun activities, the museum explains the role of shipping in our daily lives, especially in Rotterdam, and allows its visitors to understand all facets of seafaring – not just its past and present, but also what to expect in the future.

You’ll be able to experience the challenges of those working in the offshore sector today in The Offshore Experience, or explore the story of maritime trade and development through the ages at the Maritime Museum Harbour, which displays ships and cranes from the past and present. Children will love to join Professor Splash and his friends in their adventures at the Professor Splash exhibit, while the more adventurous can go on the Bright Mind Expedition with the famous East India Company.
