Main Beach Park

A beach park on Ferdinanda Beach at Amelia Island.

Located just off Florida’s northeast coast, Amelia Island promises to be “easy to reach, but hard to forget.” Main Beach offers a beautiful seaview and, being largely undeveloped, is a long expanse of white sand and a great place to observe the seagulls and go beachcombing for shark teeth and shells during low tide. Considering during the season of April to August, the beach gets packed by 11am, going during the downtime of the low tide might be beneficial.

The Main Beach Park is a classic beach park for leisure activities at the beach. A nice place to go to in the morning, it has volleyball courts and exercise equipment for free use. It is a place to gather with friends to play sports or with family for a casual picnic. With a quaint traditional burger joint at the Park and a beach side restaurant next to it, there is a lot to do at the Beach Park.

Tips Before You Go
The Beach Park is wheelchair and stroller-accessible with its beach ramps, so nobody has to get left behind. Be sure to check the tide charts as well when planning your trip to the beach and Beach Park, as the high tide is the best time to visit, when the water is at its bluest and clearest.
