Madison Square Garden

Feel the awesome vibes of major sporting events and concerts here.

The oldest major sporting facility in the New York metropolitan area, the Madison Square Garden opened on February 11, 1968. It is ranked as one of the ten most expensive stadiums ever built. Not quite a garden as its name suggests, the Madison Square Garden (MSG) is actually a multi-purpose indoor arena right in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. On top of circuses and shows, the MSG is used for professional ice-hockey, basketball, wrestling, boxing and many other sports. Hosting approximately 320 events a year, there is definitely something for everyone at the MSG. Home to the New York Rangers, New York Knicks and New York Liberty, sports fans can also get the chance to catch their idols here. Graced by celebrities such as Elton John and Elvis Presley, the MSG has held more high profile concerts than any other venues in New York.
