Madame Tussauds, San Francisco

The world-famous wax figure museum.

Madame Tussauds opened its 17th wax museum worldwide in 2014 at the Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. Here, visitors can not only see, but also interact with the life-like wax figures of world famous celebrities and icons. Get up close and personal with figures like Harvey Milk, Bruce Lee, Steven Spielberg and Michael Jackson. Like other Madame Tussauds museums, the San Francisco chain also features wax figures of local icons from the past. These figures are housed in the special “Spirit of San Francisco“ room. Galleries here are often rotated, so visitors can be sure of seeing something new every single time that they visit the museum. The sister attraction of this museum, The San Francisco Dungeon, is located right next door and makes a good complement to this museum. If Madame Tussauds preserves history, then the Dungeon makes history come alive, and visitors will surely enjoy the experience.
