Macy’s Herald Square

Over 115 years of retail therapy.

One of the largest departmental stores in the world, Macy's Herald Square has been standing for over 115 years and is the flagship store of Macy's. The building was listed as a National Historic Landmark and has indeed survived the trials and tribulations of the times, from its first day of business, making sales of only $11 (About $300 in modern times), to the booming $600 million that it makes today. The building is famous for its elaborate Christmas window displays with automated adornments that fill up its six street windows. The building covers an entire city block in New York and has 11 floors of a wide variety of products that will keep any customer happy the whole day through.
