Serving as the connection between Dong Van and Meo Vac, the Ma Pi Leng Pass is one of the most scenic routes you can encounter. Stretching out a distance of about 20 km, this road is best enjoyed by motorbike, in order to witness the breathtaking view that greets you as traverse along the road while feeling the wind rush through your hair. A word of caution - do not use this mode of transport unless you are a good rider. As beautiful as the pass is for its scenic views, it is as deadly due to its winding, serpentine roads and its sheer drops. Do take the road to the summit, also known as ‘Vietnam’s Great Wall’, to take in a truly gorgeous view. The pass is a part of the Dong Van Geoparks and the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Vietnam declared it a place of scenic relief in 2009. Pass by towering mountains, dense greenery, baby goats and small villages as you journey along the Ma Pi Leng Pass, taking in a sight that oozes peace and tranquility.
