Want some peace and tranquility in the city of Bangkok?

In a densely populated city like Bangkok, it is hard to believe that a large green space like Lumpini Park exists. Here, people of all ages can be spotted exercising or simply just enjoying the fresh air. Lumpini Park provides a refreshing gateway for visitors and locals alike to connect with nature, so why not go on a leisurely stroll through the park while you take in the sights? You can also feed fishes from atop the numerous bridges, in the midst of your stroll. Alternatively, you may even consider hopping on one of the many swan-shaped paddleboats. With plenty of activities available here, there’s bound to be something that appeals to everyone.

Besides being a recreational area, the park is also home to a variety of wildlife such as monitor lizards and squirrels, which mostly keep to themselves. The best time to visit the park would be either during dawn or dusk, where throngs of people come out to exercise and seize the opportunity to get away from the hectic buzz of Bangkok. Lumpini Park is undoubtedly a sanctuary for those who crave a little peace and quiet amidst the busyness of city life.

Tips Before You Go
It’s ideal to visit the park early in the morning, or else, just before the sunset. That is when you’ll get to see people exercising in full force, and the scene of the park coming alive is just absolutely riveting. While it is perfectly alright to feed the fish, try not to feed the monitor lizards. They might become overly enthused and try to bite you, and their bites can be downright painful!
