The Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art, often shortened to “The Ludwig Museum”, houses an essential collection of international and Hungarian art. The museum is located in the Place of Arts, and as you step in, you will be awed by the diversity of paintings in the collection housed here.

Gaze at works by Hungarian masters, before heading on to the international scene: from American Pop Art, which includes works by Andy Warhol and Jasper Johns, to works of hyperrealism by Chuck Close and Richard Estes, the collection is not the only part of the museum that draws attention. The temporary exhibitions which are often held here garner just as much popularity. End off your trip with a quick trip to the gift shop, where you can sample the unique items by Hungarian designers sold there! If you know an art fanatic (or are one yourself), these will make the perfect gifts!
