Resembling the white veil of a bride, the Lower Bertha Falls in Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, is a sight to behold. The falls can be reached by hiking on the Lower Bertha Falls Trail, and you will be treated to a vision of white waters gushing down rocky paths to create a triangular formation. The path to the falls is enjoyable in itself, as you will pass by lush greenery, rocky paths, berries, and if you’re lucky, you might see one or two animals who call this place home. When you come across a short footpath, don’t hesitate make a brief stop and enjoy the view of the azure Upper Waterton Lake. From the head of the trail, it takes roughly 2.7km of hiking to reach these beautiful falls, and as you look at them, you will realise that the effort was all worthwhile.

This is a hike that you can bring your family on, as it is not too strenuous. Mind your footing as the rocks can be slippery. Avoid visiting in winter, as the conditions are unfavorable.
