Falling from Fansipan peak at an impressive height of nearly 100 meters, the Love waterfall is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Sapa region. As the legend goes, once upon a time, the romantic Love waterfall was the bathing place of fairies from heaven. One day, one of the fairies heard the angelic strains of a flute being played by a human boy and promptly fell in love with the boy and his exceptional flute-playing skills. Sadly, this was not meant to be, and soon, her parents found out about the secret and forbade her from seeing her love ever again. Undeterred, the fairy transformed into a bird to live with her love forever, and from henceforth, the waterfalls became known as Love waterfall to commemorate the passionate love between this beautiful couple.
