Los Angeles Convention Center

Step foot into this internationally renowned convention center.

With over 720,000 square feet of exhibition space alone, 147,000 square feet of meeting space and a 299-seat theatre, the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) is one of the biggest convention centers in the United States. The impressive architecture is bound to awe you, especially if you enter from the north side of the building, where brilliantly coloured maps of inlaid terrazzo greet visitors at the lobby. Installed in 1993 by artist Alexis Smith, the sight is still as impressive as it was back in the day. Astrology lovers will be delighted by the lobby upstairs, where a map of constellations around the north celestial pole stretches across the floor.

Some of you might have heard of the many noteworthy conventions that take place here, including the E3, or for the non-video gamers, the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Anime lovers will definitely have yearned for a visit to the convention center as well, where the Anime Expo is held. Even movie filming have taken place here, including the thrilling fight scene in “Rush Hour”. The convention center remains an iconic symbol of environmental sustainability as well, with its designation as the largest convention center to have a highly reduced energy usage. When you tire of wandering the convention center, head to one of the three food courts within it to rest your weary feet and fill your rumbling stomach. Don’t miss out on this chance to visit the LACC!
