London Bridge, Port Campbell

London Bridge has fallen down – in Western Australia.

The English nursery rhyme 'London Bridge is Falling Down' might be more fitting in reference to the London Bridge in Western Australia, especially since it did actually collapse in 1990. Located at the Great Ocean Road, the London Bridge of Western Australia was actually a natural archway formation in Port Campbell National Park prior to its collapse, where visitors would walk across the bridge connecting the arch to mainland.

Although the bridge no longer exists, visitors can still head to the upper western or lower eastern viewing platforms and take in the stunning views of the Southern Ocean. It would be wise to come during sunrises or sunsets, as the view would be the most breathtaking at those times. If you are lucky, you might even see little penguins returning home!
