A 6.6-hectare complex of buildings in Manhattan, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts has hosted many eminent shows. Other than watching performances, the Lincoln Center is also lovely for a stroll. Visit the Metropolitan Opera's art gallery and marvel at the impressively huge Chagall paintings that flank the grand staircase. Delight in the pretty fountain Bellagio Lite in the central square or admire the reflecting pool. Look out for the Calder sculpture by the entrance to the performing arts library or view the latest exhibits inside. For the lucky ones, you might even be able to catch one of the free performances held there!
